Ribbed Tank Top

Pattern: My Own ( A seamless version much inspired by the Blue Sky Alpacas Ribbed Top)

Yarn: Classic Elite Attitude 4 hanks (404 yards total)

Needles: 4.0mm and 5.0mm

Notes: Love this top, it goes so well with just about anything... it's as perfect under my usually black business suit as it it over a pair of jeans... it's slightly thick for the summer months but perfect to wear in aircon places... The color also turned out surprisely flattering and I have received a few compliments already ;o)

Claude Cardigan

Pattern: Claude by Anna Bell at My Fashionable Life

Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cotton Angora SH 09, 9 balls x 98 yards

Needles: 5mm for the body and 4.5mm for the button/collar bands

Notes: Instead of knitting the button bands separately and seaming them up later, I did them using my shorty dpns in a smaller size. They turned out fine but juggling with all those needles isn't much fun either. In case you're interested, there's more on my blog post about the yarn.

Apple Tree Shorties

Add Image

Pattern: I started with the Curly Purly Soaker pattern (again) in the largest size, and just knitted on without decreasing until about 9" and incorporated a crotch before spliting up the legs.

Yarn: I hank of Cascade 220, plus scrap yarns for the cuffs and the apple tree motif

Needles/Gauge: 4.5mm/4sts per inch

Finished Size : Waist 14"unstretched, Hip 19", Rise 23"

Start to finish: 22 ~ 26 April 2007

See more photos on my blog post.

Notes: My Swiss darning was just too horribly wonky, so I ended up knitting the apple tree separately and sewn it on instead. It's so much easier this way and I love the results but somehow it does feels like cheating... ;op

Curly Purly Soakers

Yarn: Handspun Wool Slub from China. The Size LG took about 90g and the XL took 120g Needles/Gauge: 5mm/4sts per inch
Cross posted here on my knitting blog

Notes: This first one up there got felted by accident and shrunk by 20% lengthwise and 10% in width before I had a chance to do my FO shot. It still fits her though but a bit too snugly for night-time. So I went on to knit another one in the largest size and about 20% longer, just in case ;op
