Cotton Candy Top

Pattern: Cotton Candy Cap Sleeve

Needles: Japanese 15, or 6.6mm

Yarn: I'm using one strand of a sport weight cotton in cream + 2 strands of lace weight thick/thin cotton in pale pink. Both are from this LYS in Beijing, pure cotton and very very soft. Simply lovely!

Last Minute Knitted Bibs

Pattern: Based upon the Bibs O' Love from Mason Dixon

For: Baby Mitchell on his first Birthday

Yarn: Worsted Cotton in Mustard and Chocolate. Both from China. The DK cotton in cream with beige spots is previously my Apricot Jacket, scored from the Yarn Stall in Causeway Bay.

Needles: 4.5mm for the Worsted Cotton and 4.0mm for the Cream.

Yarn: Araucania Nature Wool Chunky in #123.

A beautiful golden ochre with a hint of green.

Needles: Japanese Size 15 (6.6mm) for the body
and 6.0mm for the leg cuffs.

Gauge: 3.5sts per inch

Apple Tree Shorties

Pattern: I started with the Curly Purly Soaker pattern (again) in the largest size, and just knitted on without decreasing until about 9" and incorporated a crotch before spliting up the legs.

Yarn: I hank of Cascade 220, plus scrap yarns for the cuffs and the apple tree motif

Needles/Gauge: 4.5mm/4sts per inch

Finished Size : Waist 14"unstretched, Hip 19", Rise 23"

Start to finish: 22 ~ 26 April 2007

Notes: My Swiss darning was just too horribly wonky, so I ended up knitting the apple tree separately and sewn it on instead. It's so much easier this way and I love the results but somehow it does feels like cheating... ;op

Curly Purly Soakers

Notes: This first one up there got felted by accident and shrunk by 20% lengthwise and 10% in width before I had a chance to do my FO shot. It still fits her though but a bit too snugly for night-time. So I went on to knit another one in the largest size and about 20% longer, just in case ;op

EZ February Baby Sweater

Pattern: EZ February Baby Sweater from Knitters Almanac

Yarn: 4 balls of Debbie Bliss Cotton Angora in Gray (Sh 24)

Simply Baby 2-Toned Socks

Yarn: 1 ball of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino in Lilac. I took 10g from the ball and overdyed with vermillion for the contrasting color.

Pattern: 2-toned Socks from Debbie Bliss Simply Baby

Gauge: 6.5sts per inch on 3.25mm

I did the second largest size (for 6-12mos) and extended the feet length. Yes these are the cutest pair but they don't stay on very well.

Angora Baby Socks

Yarn: Angora DK (30% Angora, 60% Lambswool & 10% Rayon) reinforced with a stretchy nylon thread throughout

Pattern: 32sts, 2x2 broken rib, round heels

Gauge: 6sts per inch on 3.25mm

Sweet Surprise Socks

Yarn: 38g of fingering lambswool, over-dyed with acids dye. See here.

Pattern: 36 sts cuff down with round heels

Gauge: 6 sts per inch on 3.25mm with yarn doubled throughout

Finished on New Year's eve.

Yarn: About 13oz (380g) of Interlacement Alabama Cottons in Carbon Dioxide Pastels (102P).

Love this pattern, so mindless to knit and inspired by the eyelets, I transformed the blanket into a poncho shawl for a toddler with a ribbon and just love it! I'll definitely be making more!

Pink Baby Dress

Pattern: Originally from an old Japanese knitting book, my version was shared by a Chinese knitter along with her idea of adding in the pretty eyelet rows.

Top-down is a true winner - this was made in 6-9 month size but after extending her sleeves for about an inch... my 15 month old toddler is still wearing this (right now actually) ;o)

Seamless Yoked Cardigan

Pattern: Seamless Yoked Cardigan by Carole Barenys (used to be free but no longer available) Size: 3-6 Months
Yarn: Filatura Di Crosa Monbebe, Fingering, 560 yards, worked double throughout.
Needle: 3.25mm
Started in End-October 2005. Completed Mid-November.
One of my favorite pattern. Might do another one in a thicker yarn for the coming winter.

Pattern: Based on the Doodle Pants again but incorporated a crotch this time.

Yarn: Forsell DK Pure New Wool. Hand-dyed in Kool-aid. 280 yards
